pop music! [May. 26th, 2005|11:53 pm]
the new American Hi-Fi song, "Geek Gets The Girl," sounds like a complete ripoff of Relient K's "Sadie Hawkins Dance." if it had some "OoOH OHs!" i wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

if i ever get good at a music instrument, i am SO covering the "if you want to, i can save you" song (michelle branch's "all you wanted"). i heard it on the radio this morning and was all "man, i like this. this is a good song. i'm going to cover this some day."

Gwen's cool. Weezer's cool. go check out "Waiting for my Hash Pipe," a mashup of Gwen's "What you waiting for?" and Weezer's "hash pipe." WOAHHAHHHHHHH. Come on and kick me. [i like it.]

i also like "Life Less Ordinary" by Carbon Leaf. I dunno, i just heard it the other day. it's the one that has this as a chorus:
"The night you came into my life
Well it took the bones of me, took the bones of me
You blew away my storm and strife
And shook the bones of me, shook the bones of me

By the way, I do know why you stayed away...
I will keep tongue-tied next time

i don't like the beginning "live a life less ordinary, live a life extraordinary with me," but i like the rest of the song.

if i was really cool i would host all the songs i mentioned. but i'm on dialup and only have the Mashup (which i JUST DL'd). i'm such a music noob.
